Why do republicans twist very simple direct questions into something else?

If I say, why is Bush calling for more warfare across the globe to spread freedom? A republican might answer me with "the koran is the one calling for more warfare".

In other words, they completely skip my question and simply post their propaganda and talking points. Any objective person wil at least admit my question is valid...and perhaps they could explain that Bush has good reason for arguing for war now for future peace etcc....but why would they evade the question all together? Why do republicans twist very simple direct questions into something else?
Your question isn't valid because you over-generalize. ALL Republicans?? And, you refer to "they". Who are "they"??

Aren't you really saying that some Republicans don't give you the answer you want to hear? I have news for you. There are other valid points of view besides yours.
LOL

One just did the same thing to my post 30 seconds ago. Rather simply ignoring the question, they feel it their duty to post insults at every turn.

The guy just jumps in and babbles hate without ever addressing the question. Why do republicans twist very simple direct questions into something else?
Works both ways and don't think for others! "might answer" is not proof
It flies in the face of their belief that George W Bush wants to be an emperor and that is okay with them.

We better worry about liberty at home before we worry about it elsewhere. Butting into the business of other countries now and in the past is why we are in the mess we have. We don't need to do more of it.Why do republicans twist very simple direct questions into something else?
Peace has always come through wars on this earth.

Just arrive here or something?
Maybe their answer is just that . . . their answer! You shouldn't ask a question if you only have a specific answer in mind that you will accept.

If you truly think that only Republicans do this, then I think you need to get out a little more.
there is only one reason that they do it. It is because it has worked very well for them. Karl Rove would be so proud of them.
Believe it or not.... they ALL do it..... democrats, republicans,

independants...it is a requirement for the job of a politician....

answer and confuse the public.....

try to sound halfway intelligent....

keep them guessing......

and best of best.... Baffle them with Bullsheetz.....
A straight answer might prove to be too embarrassing for them.
Because thats all the poor guys are issued with. their talking points and black-and-white responses. But you have to be reasonable and realize where they're coming from. I'm a liberal who lives in the Southern part of our Great Nation, so I'm constantly rubbing up against this kind of stuff. Its just that they haven't been encouraged to read between the lines and find their own way.
It's fun. And it seems to bring out the whiners. Which is also fun.

It's also free speech. Free speech means that the speaker has artistic control.
You mean like you just did?
If you want objective answers, you have to ask objective-- not loaded -- questions. An objective question would be "Is Bush calling for more warfare... blah, blah?" A loaded question is "WHY is Bush.. blah, blah, blah?" The latter assumes a fact not in evidence and presumes everybody agrees with the premise.
For the same reason a thief or killer will deny they did it
They learn it from Democratic leaders who do that sort of thing all the time on the news. Couldn't resist. You do raise an important point. With the example you gave, might it also be that people are just being lazy and skipping ahead to the "justification"?
