Why do people like to twist the words....?

of God to suite what ever trivial bashing of those who believe in him?

With out the whole context of the scripture I see many false statements, by other beliefs. I am not saying all just a lot of them seem to do so.Why do people like to twist the words....?
we cant know their thoughts but many times they just dont understand the Bible.....it isnt best to ever blame God for human behavior...
What part of the permissive endorsement of slavery was twisted?

"Both thy bondmen, and thy bondmaids, which thou shalt have, shall be of the heathen that are round about you; of them shall ye buy bondmen and bondmaids." (Leviticus 25:44 , KJV)

"As for the male and female slaves whom you may have, it is from the nations around you that you may aquire male and female slaves." (Leviticus 25:44, NRSV)Why do people like to twist the words....?
1.) You mean "suit" -- a "suite" is a big hotel room.

2.) It's not "bashing" to insist on evidence before we'll take you or your claims about your Invisible Sky Daddy seriously. Stop playing the victim.
Because we have the intellectual capacity to do so!Why do people like to twist the words....?
Jesus answered that question. He said that people refuse to come to Him because (and I quote), "their deeds are evil and they love darkness and hate the light." It can't be made any plainer than that. (HEY! *I* didn't say it, HE did!)
You mean like how some Christians will quote one line from psalms 14:1 ("The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God") but forget that the verse continues with "They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good" which is provably false?
There is a million ways to say everything and each of us needs to say it in the way that makes sense to us. We spend allot more time arguing words than ideas.
Even IN context, the Bible is ridiculous.
So everyone with a different interpretation than you is false?
When god speaks any words at all, I will gladly twist them to suit my trivial bashing.

However, since I assume these words you speak of are in the "scriptures", meaning the bible, I must point out that those are not god's words, just some drunken rantings of long-dead fools.
The "whole context of the scripture" is really just a matter of subjective personal interpretation. When you leave it up to the individual to interpret vague and ambiguous language, then people will naturally come up with widely differing interpretations. Therefore, one person's reasonable interpretation will appear to be a "twist of words" to someone with a different interpretation.
What is amusing is these people presume to judge a God they claim doesn't exist. If he truly does exist as is holy and righteous as he claims to be then his standards and his motivation are pure and righteous. And he doesn't owe any explanation to anyone. He that created all owns all and is not subject to men's laws or our feeble attempts act as though we have all knowledge. If they are honest with themselves and I believe deep down some are they know they are simply trying to avoid taking responsibility for their actions by denying God.
