Why do people frequently twist my words around?

To any of my contacts seeing this Q: I realize that Im repetitive and I tend to discuss the same topics more than once. Im sorry about that.



I just want to know why people always twist my words around, it happens to me everywhere, not just on Y!A, though it happens to me alot here.



Example: I say "The sky is blue right now" and someone says in reply "The sky isn't always blue you dumb@$$" and I have to explain to them that I never said the sky is ALWAYS blue, I just said it was at the moment.Why do people frequently twist my words around?
Yes, I go on longwinded rants about the same subjects quite frequently. Unfortunately I have a Boston accent which makes it 10 times more annoying.



Why do people twist words around? Usually because they're losers and they want to try to feel like they're better than someone. Just indulge them. It counts as a random act of kindness. Have a good one :)
people do that to me constantly. mostly they do it if they are trying to insult me, like your example. even my friends do it at times, so i just cope. on here, though, you do see it a lot. yesterday i asked a perfectly innocent question, sure i was venting a little, but it was mostly a joke, and literally 5 people insulted me in the 10 min before i deleted the damn thing.

The same thing happens to me too a lot. I think that it happens when the person/people you're talking to do not understand what you're saying, so they try to make themselves sound and feel smart by twisting your words to make you look dumb, which in reality makes them look even dumber.



And no, I am not repetitive.
People do this to you because it is a part of life and that is the way things are.



Does this happen to you? Yes it does. It happens to everyone in the world if they are honest about it.

In an argument, "spinning" is a very common method of aggression or defense.



They are either bad readers, or more likely, they purposefully are twisting your words.
