Why do people twist each others words to make them sound horrible?

It's called emotional manipulation...look it upWhy do people twist each others words to make them sound horrible?
Various reasons. Common ones are...

They feel threatened

-because the situation sounds like one they may be in

-if they take what is said seriously, they don't know how to handle it

-they feel terrible, and want others to feel terrible too

-they want to tear down this person's reputation

Either way, all of these are some form of a defense mechanism. If you don't know what that is look it up. Some are projection, playing the victim, rationalizations, lying, denial, etc.
I don't like when people play head games with your words, its bad enough when they do it with their own words but when they twist yours it really makes you think your loosing it.

I know though that my guy did it purposely to upset and confuse me to prevent me from finding out his lil secret. Why do people twist each others words to make them sound horrible?
People hear what they want to hear. If people want to believe awful things, they'll hear and repeat things the way they want them to be.
The lack of understanding of each other %26amp; sometimes the hatred to

each other has a lot to do with it .Why do people twist each others words to make them sound horrible?
To win you over. To turn you against that person for some reason.
So they can sound better :D
