He thought by criticising the non-Malays for not supporting the BN candidates in the by-elections, he was being smart and it was his way to demonstrate his "leadership" qualities as the newly appointed DPM. When the general public turned on him for his uncalled for and thoughtless comments, he resorted to the usual excuse used by almost all politicians - that he was misunderstood and misquoted, and twisted even more by saying poor understanding of the Malay language also caused misunderstanding.

It is extremely disappointing that his august position as DPM nothwithstanding, he was not big or brave enough to stand by what he thoughtlessly uttered.

As for "ungratefulness", this is laughable. Is it not the role of the government of the day to see to the welfare of all citizens, regardless of which party they support or vote for? Why should citizens feel grateful or obliged to a political party because the government was just carrying outs its basic duties? Or did the political party or more specifically the DPM use their private money to improve the lot of the citizens and therefore expect all to feel grateful. Further more, it seems to be the standard shameful practice to try to secure support or votes by dishing out projects or money during election time.

How I wish people in position would stand by what they uttered!!

Before he said that, a lot of people including me think that he is a bright person, even 3-4 years ago I have anticipated that he鈥檒l be the high ranking umno guy very soon, but after hearing him saying that, now that I know there is no one is umno is bright at all, there are all hopeless

becoz he knows he has said something wrong but at the same time he feels shameful to admit his wrong. so he blames other people doesn't have good bahasa.

I fak him for saying Chinese are ungrateful.The allocation is actually all race- tax payers' money and BN govt uses it for their party benefit.
